Any day
The trip begins at 8.30am when we pick you up after breakfast at Café Tortuga on the waterfront in Tena. We then drive to one of two put-ins located on different branches of the river depending on current weather conditions.

Before setting off we will fit you with a life jacket and helmet, give you a comprehensive safety briefing, introduce you to your guide, and then train your team in the paddling techniques needed to navigate our way down the river. Today is a big day of challenging whitewater so you’ll continue training as you run the first small rapids on the approach to the canyon. Once in the canyon the thrills really begin so you can count on your adrenaline to keep you ready for anything until you reach the calmer waters downstream.

During the trip we’ll stop at a riverside beach for a delicious picnic lunch that includes fresh tropical fruits and is served with soft drinks, juice and water. At the end of the trip we celebrate a great day out with a few ice-cold beers or sodas. The drive from the take-out back to Tena takes about forty minutes. Arrival time is approximately 4pm but may be earlier or later depending on the river level.
