The jungle town of Tena has become the kayaking hub of Ecuador. It has a greater concentration of rivers than
any other town in Ecuador, making it easy to access a lot of different runs all from one comfortable base. From
Tena you can access 7 different rivers and over 12 different river sections, all within a one hour drive from town.
The whitewater you will find among these runs includes everything from class II, for those just getting their feet wet in the sport, to class V for experts.

 Ecuador is an ideal place to learn the sport of whitewater kayaking. The greatest
advantage is the pleasure of learning and practicing in warm, clean tropical rivers. Rios Ecuador's kayak schools focus on teaching all the essential skills of kayaking such
as learning to paddle, reading river currents, performing proper river safety and basic river rescues, plus the art of the Eskimo roll.
In the beautiful surroundings of the small town of Tena, you will have the opportunity to kayak various rivers throughout our 4-day school. Our classroom is always the river
and our goal is to make learning a fun and memorable experience.

 Intermediate and experts paddlers are continously marveled by the
variety of world class kayaking rivers in the Tena area. there is everything; small fun technical rivers, large volume runs, awesome playboating and steep creeks for adrenaline junkies.
Depending on your level of experience, we will take you the best whitewater within your ability.
You can choose from a large selection of kayaks, including some of
the latest models in all-around boats, playboats and creek boats from Perception, Dagger, Prijon and WaveSport.
